How to check your screen for dead pixels

Clean the screen and dim the room
Wipe the panel with a soft microfiber cloth so dust isn't mistaken for a dead pixel, then dim nearby lights to reduce glare.

White reveals black dead pixels; black shows hot and stuck pixels; pure RGB isolates a single stuck sub-pixel.

Scan slowly, corner to corner
Give each color 30-60 seconds and sweep your eyes across the panel in rows. Any dot that stays a different color is a suspect pixel.

What is a dead pixel test?
A dead pixel test is a quick visual check for broken sub-pixels on LCD, LED, OLED, IPS, VA or AMOLED displays. Pure colors, gradients and stress patterns make dead, stuck and hot pixels easier to see.

What is the difference between a dead, stuck and hot pixel?
A dead pixel stays completely black on every color (it receives no power). A stuck pixel is bright in one color - red, green or blue - on a black background. A hot pixel is always pure white. Our solid-color screens reveal all three.
How do I run the screen test?
Clean your screen, dim the room lights, click any tile to enter fullscreen, then use the arrow keys or Space to cycle through the screens. Press P for auto-play, I to show your display info, and Esc to exit.
Does it work on phones, tablets and 4K monitors?
